France failed to have a contingency plan in case of a German successful breakthrough and she had committed here motorized forces to fighting in Belgium. Allied divisions were order to counter attack, but no concerted effort was made. There was disunity between the British and French high command when German motorized forces broke through the French lines and occupied northern France. It's way faster.Both Germany and the Allies had approximately equal numbers of divisions and equipment, both sides fielded modern and obsolete equipment, Germany made better use of radios and as a result German officers where able to operate at the front (not so for the French), French units were capable of winning battles at the tactical level when France took the initiative, but German units easily overran second line French units or units that where poorly prepared. It's really hard to keep Europe alive until you push back and start taking cities. With no generals it can be hard to push Germans back, specially that in their initial atack you can encounter up to 3 golden generals, 4 silver and 1 bronze. Playing as UK is way faster but you will have to encounter SPAM of Italian, German and sometimes even Japanese generals. I found those two conquests really easy because not only you have a good begining and can build up economy quickly but you can also feel like a baddie If not you can easyli just take any city in range with an airport and use good ol spam. With enough luck your allies will win in West Europe and Africa. Once Moscow falls you have stable enough economy to push into Soviet Union, asia and US. With finland the strategy is the same, but instead of Africa you focuse on conquering the bordering Soviet city then stealing cities that germans occupy and then waiting for germans to atack Moscow so you can atack with them. You can easyli just spam airforce at this point to Once you have Asia conquered you can use your aiforce and rockets to conquer alaska, american isles and the West coast while your starting generals (if they survived) and some heavy tanks and carriers even can atack canadian coast, conquer It's capital and small cities around. You can easyli invade middle east and the swiss or Portugal even for easy money to.
At some point you will have enough money to both atack Asia from former soviet union teritories and conquer british isles with ease. With italy you can easyli take Africa and steal cities that germans occupy.
